高清DVR肯定是未来DVR发展的一个趋势。但目前就我们所做的工程项目中，所使用的还比较少，一般多用于金融。主要有几个原因：首先是价格的问题，由于高清DVR相对传统DVR来说，价格略高，就甲方客户来讲，接受度还不高，可能在某些经济发达的地区，用户接受度会高一点;其次是技术上的原因，高清DVR最需要解决的就是网络带宽和存储两方面的问题，例如，前端接1路的高清图像，传输带宽就需要4到8兆带宽，如果不单独建网或者铺设光纤，图像就会出现传输不流畅等现象，但如果铺设光纤或独立建网，就会耗费大量的成本，用户也不会接受，此外，高清图像的大容量存储也是其需要解决的问题之一。
如果解决了以上的问题，高清DVR还能够增加视频检测、磁盘阵列等功能，相信那时候，其的春天就真正来临了。
